Eric Ten Hag Faces Another Fallout With A Manchester United Player
By Dailytab24.
Eric Ten Hag has established himself as a no nonsense coach since he arrived at Old Trafford, with a high profile fallout with Christiano Ronaldo and Jordon Sancho who is now on loan at BVB.
The coach has a strict rule on his players, wielding the stick any time a player shows dissent on social media platforms. Many has attributed his poor man management to his Ajax era, where he had young players or a team without world class players.
At Manchester United, it was expected to be a different project, where players of high profile would need preferential treatment and respect.
Eric Ten Hag doesn’t believe in the superiority of a player, irrespective of the reputation of the player. His principle led to a significant collapse of player-coach relationship with Sancho, after Ronaldo who is considered a club legend was treated disrespectfully by the coach.
Garnacho is the next on the line of players that could be punished by Eric Ten Hag, but it is believe that Garnacho’s contributions to the team could be a defining factor for him.
Eric Ten Hag often demands public apology when players revolt against him, but Garnacho maybe his undoing. The gaffer is yet to speak about the reactions of Garnacho on social media, which could point to internal treatment of the issue.
Problem began after Garnacho was substituted on Saturday 2-2 draw with Bournemouth at half-time, and the act triggered a reaction post match. While Garnacho did not openly make any comment against the gaffer or his tactical decision, he did like a couple of posts that criticized the gaffer’s action. And the move has generated social media reactions, with many anticipating a reaction from Eric Ten Hag.
The issues that had came up in the past started with social media activities, and Garnacho is on the same trajectory. After substituting the Argentine, Eric Ten Hag was asked the reason for his action. He obviously said it was a decision of his, and further criticized Garnacho for a poor training week that resulted in a below per performance against Bournemouth.
Eric Ten Hag further disclosed that there was no coordination on the right side of the wing where Garnacho played. He said that the substitution was necessary to bring about stability. And his post match press conference somehow blamed the winger for the stalemate, which the winger didn’t accept by liking commentaries that criticized his coach.
“Garnacho has been one of our best players this season . poor first half but taking him off at half-time and holding him up as the problem is a joke. Many have done much worse week in week out and are still out there” Goldbridge commentary like by Garnacho reads.
“Ten Hag subtly blaming Garnacho in the post match press conference … not a good look throwing 19 year old under the bus who has actually delivered for you this season” his comments further stated.
It’s yet to be decided if Eric Ten Hag will punish Garnacho for liking or encouraging a post that is critical of his actions. Eric Ten Hag likes to show that he is the boss, but punishing the very youngster he gave a playing time and nurtured to his current height will be strange compared to others.
