Israeli Troops Left Shifa Hospital In Ruins
By Dailytab24.
Israel Defense Forces have completely withdrawn from Shifa Hospital after two weeks of high intensity operation in the complex that houses the hospital, leaving it in profound ruins.
The withdrawal was due, after completing the set out mission in the complex, where Hamas terrorists regrouped and commanded attack against IDF from.
The withdrawal marked an end to the most successful military operation Israel ever carried out in the Gaza Strip.
The operation began on March 18 after intelligence confirmed a massive presence of Hamas terrorist in the hospital.
The build up to the operation was concealed which took Hamas by surprise and lead to the arrest 900 suspects and after investigation, over 500 were confirmed to be active terrorists.
The operation also led to the successful elimination of over 200 terrorists that engaged the troops throughout the two weeks of the operation.
The operation marked the first time Israeli Defense Forces have killed many Hamas and Islamic Jihad leaders and operatives at a single operation.
While the operation lasts, Israel enjoyed the support of its allies who have been convinced that the terrorists use hospitals as headquarter where terror is harnessed and operatives deployed for terrorists activities.
Since the beginning of the war in October 7, Israel has lost 600 soldiers, over 300 lost on October 7, while since the land incursion into Gaza, IDF has lost 265 soldiers. The latest soldier that lost his life was Staff Sergeant Nadav Cohen who is 20 years old, from Haifa. He was killed in southern Gaza in active fight.
At the beginning of the war, Israel lost notable numbers of troops, but has since learned from their mistakes and improved. In recent time, loss of troops has decreased, with one coming occasionally.
Although, there was a recent bombing of encampment building near Nasser hospital, but only one soldier lost his life with others injured.
While withdrawing, according to Times of Israel, eyewitnesses within the Shifa hospital saw increased bombing and shelling in the area.
The intensified bombing and shelling was a protective edge for the withdrawing troops who often get attacked from the back or ambushed. The idea was to thwart any threat that had come from Hamas operatives in the event of the withdrawal.
The terrorists arrested within Shifa hospital have been detained and interrogated. Israel said they got new information and intelligence from the operation. Captured terrorists also gave Shin Bet and the IDF new information concerning the terrorist organization.
Hamas and Islamic Jihad embed their terrorist infrastructures within civilian infrastructure and have embraced the use of hospitals as the safest base for planning and executing terrorist activities.
Under international law, the use of hospitals and civilian infrastructure for terrorist activities is considered crime against humanity.
Israel has come under unfair scrutiny for their attack on Hamas-using hospitals. Despite Hamas terrorist firing rockets from and within hospitals, the left has found it abnormal for Israel to stop them.
They have often wrongly questioned why Israel attack terrorists in hospitals – insinuating that terrorists in hospitals or using hospital complex should be spared.
