How Russia Shamefully Tried To Link Ukraine To Its Terrorist Attack

More than 100 Russians died when terrorists attacked a concert hall. The terrorists executed the murder with ease, and faced no prompt resistance. It was a shocking development to the world, who thought Russia’s internal security is too competent to had missed the build up of the attack.
The attack is the bloodiest terrorist attack in Russia in recent history. Everybody in Russia was taken unaware. They didn’t anticipate such an attack and it was a shame and a thing of regret that loved ones will no longer see innocent children, and family members.
Someone must take the blame for the security failure, but Putin’s allies are already deflecting and trying to find an excuse. Leaders take the blame when security failure of that magnitude occurs, but in Russia, they are trying to put the blame on Ukraine.
Immediately after the terrorist attack, on TV and elsewhere, Putin’s aides were pointing fingers at Ukraine, claiming that Ukraine carried out the terrorist attack. The unfounded claim was quickly responded to by Ukraine.
Ukarine made it clear that it’s at war with Russia, but will not come as low as carrying out a terrorist attack on innocent Russians. Rather, it said all the scores with Putin’s Russia will be settle on the battlefield.
Ukraine presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak reacted to the unfounded allegation “let’s be straight about this, Ukraine had absolutely nothing to do with these events. We have a full-scale, all-out war with Russian regular army, and with the Russian federation as a country, and regardless of everything, everything will be decided on the battlefield” Podolyak said in a telegram video channel.
Despite the clarification from Ukraine, Russia still shamelessly insist that Ukraine had links to the attackers. Not withstanding that US gave a tip off to Moscow intelligence community that “Extremists” were planning attack in Moscow.
Russians would be disappointed with Putin, and he knows, hence he tries to take the blame off himself.
Blaming Ukraine for the terrorist attack would help redirect the anger back home. Putin is well aware that Ukraine had nothing to do with the terrorist attack as he received updates during the event and was also informed of the possibility of terrorist attack.
“Vladimir Putin was informed about the beginning of the shooting in the first minutes of what happened in Crocus City Hall” Kremlin said and continued.
“The President constantly receives information about what is happening and about the measures being taken through all the relevant services”
With sufficient information, intelligence and real time update, it becomes deliberate to link the terrorist attack to Ukraine. There is practically a consensus within Russia’s ruling circle to promote the Ukraine sentiment to hide the failure of the government.
Putin failed to protect Russian citizens and he should apologise than use the precious lives of innocent Russians to play early game of politics. The terrorist attack was carried out by Islamic State terrorist and the narrative should be straightforward and direct.
