High Cost Of Living – Tinubu’s Inaction Due To Cluelessness
By Invite: Daily Tab24.
Leadership is required when the going gets tough, but with President Bola Amed Tinubu, it appears cluelessness is what we have on the table. The plague facing Nigerians will endure. High cost of living will keep biting, even harder, unless the cluelessness of President Tinubu is transformed into leadership.
The president has all the powers in a presidential system of government to drive home a course. It takes a well thought-out decision to handle the high cost of living that had thrown the country into turmoil. So, President Bola Amed Tinubu is solely responsible for the situation Nigerians are in.
Action is needed with less words. We know a clueless man builds a mansion of excuses. He feasts on words to cover his cluelessness. Action is needed to save the country from this dangerous decline. This is no storm. The ship is about to wreck due to the cluelessness of the sailor. Take action to save Nigeria from irreversible decline. Find clue. Jump out of your cluelessness.
The problem began as soon as subsidy was removed, and while all the reasons subsidy was removed seemed pleasant, there was supposed to be a transitional plan. To transit from the era of subsidy to the era of non-subsidy requires leadership and calculative measure to mitigate the direct effect or impact of subsidy removal.
But it was a different case. Like Peter Obi, President Bola Amed Tinubu vowed to remove fuel subsidy, but without preparing for post- fuel subsidy removal.
The country is now in a tremendous decline. Naira has significantly lost value and the giant of Africa is on his knee. The President is not fighting, he is not making decisions and he is not showing signs of resistance. He is dormant, anticipating his re-election, because he is aware oppositions have a chance with the downward trajectory of the country’s economy.
There were words of hope – false hope by virtue of reality. He promised to change Nigeria, and instill new hope. He told us our affliction will be washed away by the rain of Amed Tinubu. He said the hunger in the country is a phasing one – the ritual that will usher us into the paradise his administration planned for us.
But we know the circumstance. The future doesn’t look bright and the promises are false, strategically aimed to tame us. With promises, we stay calm, hoping and waiting for the very change that would put smile back on our faces.
What has President Bola Amed Tinubu done to stem the tide of everything negative with his administration? From the very beginning of his administration, we faced this life threatening condition. What will then become of us by the end of this administration? There is no light at the end of the tunnel, because the President of the federal republic of Nigeria is clueless.
Tinubu must wake up from his slumber and understand Nigerians are not animals that can be caged at will. We are humans and we have the capacity to reason and the ability to rescue ourselves from danger of starvation. Nigerians will not stay down or endure his administration if decisions are not made to arrest the situation of the country.
The President should not believe his promises will maintain the status quo for him, like the promise that keeps a wayward mistress in a sour relationship. His cluelessness will bounce back at him, and will definitely knock him to the floor. It would be dangerous to take the resolve of Nigerians for granted.
It’s clear nothing is being done to address the decline of the country. As a matter of this inaction, Nigeria will continue to go from worse to worst until someone acts decisively to redirect the ship.
