Just days after news of his legal action against his former darling club where he played 500 games and gained the status of a legend, Bonucci has spoken out about what happened between him and Juventus. The Italian defender made clear his anger, and further indicating the treatment he got from Juventus was heartbreaking after giving his all to the club.

The first attack came from Juventus when the Italian was excluded from the club’s squad in June. It was a surprise as the former captain faced such bad fate in the hands of his employers, instead of a farewell in any case of exit.

He later in haste left for Union Berlin, a transfer he sanctioned, but because he had no option after being left out of the squad. When a player is left out of a squad, it underlines that the player is no longer part of the project, so when Union Berlin came calling, Bonucci approved the transfer.

The legal action against Juventus is based on “lack of adequate training and preparation conditions available to him” it is understood that when frozen out of the squad, Bonucci was not allowed to train or make use of the standard training apparatus or club’s instructors as other players. He was not allowed to train on same level as other players.

The condition he was left at Juventus prompted the legal action against the club, for the club to answer for the unprofessional treatment of him and the damage they caused him. The former Juventus captain had also indicated the proceeds from the legal action would go to Neuroland charity, an association that supports the families of children hospitalized in the pediatric neurosurgery in Turin.

Since after joining Union Berlin, the former Juventus captain has not made any public comment until recently when he spoke out to Mediaset. Detailing what happened while still with Juventus, he was bitter that he was chased out of Jeventus, even though he wanted to stay at all cost.

“Juventus manager (Allegri) reported some fake stories. It’s not true that Juventus told me months ago, in October and in February, about their intention to part ways with me” he said in what appears to reflect fallout with his former coach.

“In May, I told Juventus board that I was open to stay as 5/6th choice to help all their young players” the Italian added.

“Juventus directors only told me on July 13 that I was out of their project… after rumors on newspapers”

“This was the biggest humiliation I’ve suffered”.

“I’ve smelled something by reading it in the newspapers, that I would no longer be part of the Juventus squad and that my presence would hinder the growth of the team” he continued.

“This was the humiliation I suffered after more than 500 games in bianconero… everyone showed me their closeness for the disrespectful behavior of the clun” he concluded.

The treatment of Bonucci who wanted to spend the rest of his career at Juventus left him heartbroken, and a legal action is aimed to address his anger and not to gain off the club.
