See what Elon Musk said about President Joe Biden’s convicted son

A jury found Hunter Biden guilty of lying on a federal form needed to acquire a gun, despite being a drug addict.

The verdict has stired reactions since yesterday it was handed down. Democrat and Republican supporters appear to react strategically to their respective advantages.

But Elon Musk, a billionaire business mogul has reacted differently, brushing aside the crime he said was a pseudo crime.

He is of the opinion the President’s son has more serious crime to face than a smokescreen crime he was found guilty of.

Responding to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, by Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., that Hunter Biden shouldn’t be put in jail for lying about his drug use on a federal form that is required to be completed when purchasing a gun.

Thomas Massie tweet says Hunter Biden’s act doesn’t deserve a jail time, arguing that the President’s son has not done something that is alien.

“Hunter might deserve to be in jail for something, but purchasing a gun is not it,” Massie wrote. “There are millions of marijuana users who own guns in this country, and none of them should be in jail for purchasing or possessing a firearm against current laws.”

His tweet quickly drew a sharp reply from Musk who reminded the Rep. that the President’s son has a more serious case to answer.

“I agree,” Musk responded. “He (and others) should be in jail for impugning the integrity of the United States by taking bribes for political favors, but not for this pseudo-crime.”

Musk drew concern on a matter being investigated by House Oversight Committee. Where investigations have shown that Hunter Biden used his father’s influence to receive bribe from Ukrainian company.

The investigation also directly linked President Joe Biden to the crime. The matter is yet to be prosecuted.

Hunter Biden could be handed 25years time in jail, but as a first time offender, he may not be jailed. He could be subjected to fine or community services.

The verdict came in yesterday, but the sentencing date has not been announced.

Reacting to his verdict, the President’s son appeared to have accepted that he is a drug addict, and hoped for recovery from the act.

He thanked his family for their support and disclosed he was more “grateful” for the support he received than the “disappointment’ in his guilty verdict.

Joe Biden hugged his son after the verdict and said that irrespective of the outcome, his love for his son remains intact.

Hunter Biden’s attorney said he was disappointed in an official statement, but consigned that he will respect the jury’s verdict.

“We are naturally disappointed by today’s verdict. We respect the jury process, and as we have done throughout this case, we will continue to vigorously pursue all the legal challenges available to Hunter.

“Through all he has been through in his recovery, including this trial, Hunter has felt grateful for and blessed by the love and support of his family.”

There is a tip off from his statement that Hunter Biden may appeal the decision of the jury.
