49 dead, 140 Africans missing as vessel sinks
A migrant vessel has sunk off Yamen. The boat carrying African migrants fron the Horn of Africa sunk without obvious explanation.
The tragic news was announced by United Nations International Organisation for Migration.
Despite being a deadly route, African Migrants continue to escape Africa through that dangerous sea path.
The sunk vessel was carrying about 260 migrants from Somalia and Ethiopia. The vessel set sail from Somalia and expected to go through Gulf of Aden to Yamen, where the migrants can then find greener pasture.
Women and their children were part of the dead, while more than 70 people were rescued, others remained unaccounted.
What caused the incident is yet unknown, but the route was marked dangerous for sails since the war in Gaza began.
The quest to leave Africa continues to take lives of African children, mothers and fathers.
The intentions of the migrants have been questioned, but life continues to twist and turn them around. Survival has no answer but action.
The migrants chose the path as other paths have proved costly and State policies affecting migrations in better routes.
