Double Trouble- Killing Igbo Soldiers By Igbo Brothers

How Many Hausa Or Yoruba soldiers Were Killed Yesterday? Eventually, Igbo is killing Igbo from different divide.

Staff sergeant Charles Ugochukwu and Ikpeama Ikechukwu were among the soldiers killed yesterday by their brothers in their state.

The question is, who cursed their brothers or what is wrong with them? Nigerian government can now smile and say, let them destroy their own and land.

Shut up! These soldiers barely shoot Igbo sons and daughters when deployed. They sympathise with Biafra. They sometimes leak information and sabotage Nigeria. I can tell you the military is divided along tribal line.

During 1967 Biafra-Nigeria war, many Igbo soldiers and members of the Nigerian forces left their barracks and stations to defend their fatherland. Only after war has been declared.

Those soldiers stayed put in the Nigerian military establishment until war was declared. Their loyalty laid with Biafra even while they were serving in Nigerian Army.

Imagine if Ojukwu slaughtered all Igbo soldiers in the name of whatsoever before he declared war, we wouldn’t have had experience in the Biafran rank.

Dating back to that war, those with prior military experience in the Nigerian army played significant role in training civilians and coordinating the war.

Today, the crop of security threats, who neither fight for Biafra nor independence target and kill Igbo soldiers, who are potentially the mix they had needed in a time of war.

Well, I might be thinking too much, these guys have no plan or intention to confront or fight for Biafra. They are just making noise and benefiting off insecurity in Igbo land.

It’s a double trouble for Ndi Igbo, Nigerian political leaders are killing us with the police and military. Biafran agitators are killing us with Unknown Gun Men/ESN.

Yesterday, they massacred healthy Igbo sons who are serving in the Nigerian military as a means of sustaining life.

Who serves in the military with love and patriotism? They all serve there because there is no job in the country, and that monthly salary helps make life bearable.

But in the course of finding what family will eat, a group of men called ESN and Unknown Gun Men killed them. There crime was being in the military.

I have been long enough in investigative journalism to know that most of these Igbo soldiers are sympathetic to Biafra.

They want Biafra restored, but they cannot get involved now there is no clear path to Biafra. They are waiting patiently with their arms.

These Unknown Gun Men often say we or our leader warned them to leave Nigerian army. If they leave, will you feed them?

If they leave, who will fight from the inside in a case of Biafra fight? Who will mix up with civilians, or bring about the experience needed to maneuver?

There is a simple understanding of the fact that these people are saying they won’t fight for Biafra, and they won’t consider anything.

When you come and shoot your brothers and run away, what do you make of your character?

Hausa and Yoruba soldiers will be deployed to kill Biafrans because Biafrans killed Biafrans. This is a complicated problem and I don’t see us getting out of it any time soon.

We accuse each other and fight each other to death while the enemies stand aside and look. It’s time we cost, minus and plus our actions to reflect our sufferings.
