Old Pump Price, Old Dollar Rate – There Are Much More Reverts Than Old National Anthem
By Invitation: Anonymous.
Signing into law a legislation to revert to old National Anthem Speaks cluelessness, which is the exact meaning of what is happening today.
The President is clueless to the point he doesn’t know what to do and as a matter of fact, not doing anything.
Immediately I saw President Bola Amed Tinubu seated comfortably with a pen to sign into law the legislation reverting to old national anthem that was passed by House of Representatives and the Senate, I came to the inevitable conclusion that cluelessness is the order of the day.
We are in for a marathon in this wilderness of political and economic misfortune; and the dangerous aspect of this marathon is there is no end in sight.
Without a finishing line, we will definitely run in a circle – a dangerous marathon – because we will run to death. At a point, the energy to continue will not be there and we will collapse.
I am not a critic of President Bola Amed Tinubu’s administration, rather, I am a firm believer of justice and truth.
I find it a thing of joy to speak and write truth wherever I found myself, thus, making the concept of justice my basic approach when it comes to opinions.
After 365 days in office and the President can only sit proudly to signing a document that reverts us to old National Anthem should be a concern to every Nigerian that is hoping for a change. Not really because the law is entirely a filth, but because we have too many problems begging for attention.
If it’s about taking Nigeria back to the good old days, it should not start with National Anthem that has no impact on the lives of Nigerians.
There are things we can go back to – the old pump price, the old dollar rate, the old economic situation and lots more.
Nigeria’s misfortune has reached a tipping point, and there is practically no driver to steer it off the cliff.
The President is joking; of all the problems in Nigeria, he is signing old National Anthem into law.
Of all the laws that are needed to heal Nigeria, old National Anthem is the more important law the President is signing after 365 days.
The fabric of this country has been over scratched and the patience of the people has reached its peak.
The leaders of this country believe that the people cannot rise against them. They trust their will and instinct to kill like during end SARS.
I do not blame them. Nigerians have made life comfortable for them. They can do what please them with assurances that nothing can happen.
I do not blame Governor Hope Uzodimma who once said being the President of Nigeria is being like God of Nigeria.
The main focus of President Bola Tinubu should be to reverting the country to the good old days and not reverting the people to old songs.
It’s a clear agenda to keep the people busy with learning forgotten songs while the country rots, and political leaders make mess of the future of over 200 million people.
