Background
As soon as oil was discovered in Nigeria, foreign friends and contacts were established, not to aid the country or make life easier for Nigerians, but to milk and steal the commonwealth of the people.
This reality is also reflected in all African countries; foreigners make friends, who are the neo-warrant chiefs, to enable them to lift the natural resources of African countries, at the detriment of the common people of the affected countries.
Nigeria’s Main Export
In Nigeria, crude oil is the main export, and all attention is focused on it. Oil money is considered the biggest in Nigeria, to the point that anyone working in the oil sector is considered a rich man.
The money in the oil sector cannot be compared to the money in other sectors, so the oil sector is a hot cake for those that want to make more money in Nigeria. They pounce and invest in the oil sector with hope of getting a huge return.
Little wonder since Nigeria got independence or oil was found, refineries could not be built. Look no further. With what is happening with Dangote refineries, it’s clear oil thieves in the oil sector don’t want a refinery in Nigeria.
They want the status quo because it enables them to steal; with no refinery in the country, they can ship crude oil abroad, make outrageous deals, and come back home with whatever narratives that suit them.
Subsidy
Subsidy became a criminal venture over the years, with millions of dollars being given to smooth criminals that have the capacity to dictate what happens to fuel prices in the country.
They have become experts in their criminal venture, frustrating anyone that refuses to pay them the exact amount they want and giving who dances to their tone a moment of happiness.
Over the years, the oil thieves have used subsidies to become billionaires at the expense of the common people.
The subsidy smooth criminals lift crude oil from Nigeria to a foreign country where it is refined, and they bring them back and place the price of their choice.
On top of the price they control, they also collect millions of dollars from the government to process the shipping, refining, and more.
They make double gains, take the capital, and still ensure they made more by dictating the pump price in the country.
Local Refinery Effect
The oil thieves are aware that a local refinery would bring an end to their criminal enterprise, so they invested the proceeds of their crime into making sure that no refinery is functional in Nigeria.
They passed the message to those that can invest in the refinery business and forced the likes of Prince Arthur Eze to build refineries in foreign countries.
The thieves have become masters and strategists. They are highly connected to the presidency and even share the proceeds with those closer to the president to influence the president to turn a blind eye.
They have planned their criminal business to ensure they successfully and smoothly go about it every year.
They are appointed MDs and ministers of the federal republic of Nigeria. They are oil racketeers, having extensive arms and influencing the country’s policies.
As soon as the oil subsidy was removed, they picked offence and decided to show the people that the subsidy works, but in reality, subsidy doesn’t work; they are only trying to prove a wrong point by outrageously increasing the pump price.
They are intentionally frustrating the country, pushing to see if their actions would make the presidency return fuel subsidies.
They are the parasites and hypocrites, hyenas and jackals’ roaming the oil sector for what is left of it.
After the government could not build a government-owned refinery for more than a century, Dangote, a private businessman, decided to build one.
It is now presumed Dangote is richer than the Nigerian government or has access to items needed to build a refinery more than the government, or whatever the case may be.
His refinery, after completion, faces opposition from the oil thieves that want to control the lives of Nigerians.
The refinery completely beat down diesel prices in the country, setting a standard that could not be broken by the oil thieves.
Afraid that Dangote will repeat what he did with fuel, the thieves are now pushing with everything they have to stop Dangote from distributing fuel. The distribution of fuel by Dangote will completely crash the price of fuel in the country, and the thieves are not ready for it.
Dangote refinery will bring the needed competition that is lacking in the oil sector and force the oil sector to lower the price they intentionally bloated to serve their greed.
They want to control Dangote refinery and dictate the price to enable them to maintain their bloated price.
They are knocking Dangote from all corners, frustrating him and making sure the status quo remains to enable them to continue to milk the country.
Conclusion
Dangote refinery has completed everything needed to start distributing fuel and is ready to moderate the price of fuel as they moderated the price of diesel. The refinery wants to independently refine and distribute, but the cabals are determined to control it.
The cabals have the opportunity to quickly finish the building of the Port Harcourt refinery and compete with the Dangote refinery, but that move would further crash their criminal business within the oil sector. They are now willing to fight Dangote instead of compete, and they fight dishonourably and shamelessly.
Dangote refinery has threatened to start exporting fuel; almost all the refined fuel will be transported to another country, and the thieves are not worried; they are okay with Dangote leaving the Nigerian market for them, so they could continue to dictate and milk the people.
President Bola Amed Tinubu has not shown the determination needed to address the complicated matter because they have told him that the country will lose funds if Dangote locally distributes.
He has been told that NNPC will not be able to remit the amount of money they used to remit if Dangote refinery is allowed to independently function, but that is not true. The truth is, the money the oil thieves individually pocket will no longer be there if the fuel price is stabilised or brought down to normal.
