Controversy: VeryDarkMan and prophet Jeremiah fight dirty over miracle products

What Happened

CONTROVERSY] fight between VeryDarkMan and Prophet Jeremiah is taking a new twist, with NAFDAC now in the centre of the fight.

Hence it’s about products people could consume or apply to their bodies; NAFDAC would eventually come in or answer a couple of questions, although it looked like NAFDAC abstained from the matter when it first started, but now they have been forced to react.

Positioning of the NAFDAC is key to the matter, as it could play into the gallery for either of the two.

Being a matter before the court of law, there is a first impression needed to decide where the case will go, and that impression is NAFDAC’s view of the product in question.

The testimony of NAFDAC will be instrumental, and both parties in the matter are aware of it.

Pressure

VeryDarkMan has sustained a significant pressure on the institution from inception and has even taken the said product to the headquarters of NAFDAC, where he had asked the institution to inspect the products being sold by prophet Jeremiah.

After he visited the headquarters and they failed to make a supporting or disapproval statement regarding the product, VeryDarkMan threatened to initiate a campaign against the institution.

Who Is VeryDarkMan

VeryDarkMan, a social media activist, became a controversial figure for criticising people online and coming after those he believes were taking advantage of the common people.

He started with Nigerian celebrities but recently shifted to pastors.

His online activism focused on aiding the poor, settling issues, and calling out those he believes are oppressive.

What Caused The Matter

Pastor Jeremiah became a punching bag for the online activist after he was seen in a video selling holy water, soap, and others.

The pastor said that his soap and water have the spiritual significance of healing the sick, making the deaf to hear, the blind to see, and the lame to walk.

The soap and water were given sufficient media attention by the pastor, leading thousands of members to buy the soap for miracles.

VeryDarkMan believes that the acclaimed miracle soap and water is a deceit aimed at feeding off the poor and ignorant masses.

The activist then began a campaign to sensitise the people and questioned the veracity of the claim made by the pastor.

The online activist challenged the pastor’s claim, and questioning the effectiveness of the miracle soap and water forced him to buy a few.

VeryDarkMan Experimented The Soap

VeryDarkMan purchased the miracle soap and water and attempted to use it on the blind and sick, but it didn’t work out, prompting a social media attack on the pastor.

The pastor responded to the actions of VeryDarkMan and noted that for his miracle soap and water to work, the user and the person applying it must love him.

The pastor said that the online activist doesn’t love him, and as such, the miracle water and soap cannot work for or through him.

Legal Action

Threatened by the online activities of VeryDarkMan, Pastor Jeremiah instituted a legal action against the online activist, demanding billions of Naira for defamation and character assassination.

On the contrary, VeryDarkMan said he only practicalized what the pastor claimed and didn’t harm or assault him. The matter came to public light afterwards, and pressure began to mount on both parties.

Initially, pastor Jeremiah said he had forgiven the social media activist and would withdraw the matter from court, but VeryDarkMan was adamant that he wants the case to move on.

Pastor Jeremiah waited for the social media activist to make public concessions, but as that didn’t happen, he furthered the case, and now to a point it would be hard to go back.

Public View

The both are now fighting dirty, with public advice failing to have a significant impact on the case.

Pastor Jeremiah was told by Christians to withdraw the case as the matter is insulting to the body of Christ, but the prophet didn’t listen; he was rather determined to prove the matter in a law court.

VeryDarkMan was, on the other hand, advised to drop the matter and apologise to the prophet, but he is obstinate, making matters worse by coming on social media to trend the matter and speak proudly about how correct he is and how the matter will eventually be won by him.

Yet it’s believed that Prophet Jeremiah allowed himself to be used by VeryDarkMan to catch an online cruise.

VeryDarkMan makes money on social media by trending every day, and the attention the court case had given him underscores why he desperately wanted the matter to go on.

Prophet Jeremiah didn’t see the other side of the coin and fell for the social media trend VeryDarkMan feeds off.

NAFDAC Effect

Now that NAFDAC has taken a stance by declaring that the product in question is fake, it casts a dark shadow on the possibility of the prophet getting anything from the matter.

Furthermore, it gives VeryDrakMan the key to winning the case.

There is no way the prophet could challenge the online activist for questioning or saying his products are fake and don’t work, if NAFDAC has confirmed it, then there is no case there.

On the other hand, VeryDarkMan will rise like a phoenix, because where prophet Jeremiah’s right ends is where VeryDarkMan’s own starts.

If the case ends the way it is going now, VeryDrakMan will file a counter-application for compensation, and that would be double trouble for the prophet.

He lost the case, damaged his reputation, and compensated VeryDarkMan.

Conclusion

The prophet has begun to mobilise supporters to protest against NAFDAC’s position, saying that the institution has no right to determine what is fake or real when it comes to spiritual or religious items because it’s not in the right position to determine what is what in religion.

It’s a complicated matter because the soap is physical and being sold by the prophet as a commodity or article.

The soap and water, though religiously tagged miracle soap and water, involve application to the physical body, and NAFDAC has the authority to determine whether what is consumed and applied to the physical body is fake or genuine.

NAFDAC might have taken their position based on the content and the application and not basically based on the spiritual significance of the miracle soap and water.

In the end, there is no supporting evidence that the product, like other commercial products, is genuine or approved by NAFDAC, and prophet Jeremiah is destined to lose.
