War In Ukraine – Putin bombs children hospital in Kyiv

Putin bombs children hospital in Kyiv

Russian Army’s Artillery has sent missiles flying carelessly into Kyiv, leading to bombing of one of European biggest children’s hospitals.

The attack followed months of intense fighting in Ukraine. Despite efforts to make peace, the war continues to rage.

Hungarian Prime Minister visited Vladimir Putin last week, a visit he said was aimed to restore peace. But the attack on the hospital is a new shift in policy.

Children are now at the risk of facing difficult times in Ukraine, with the hospital serving as a main care centre since the war began.

“Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv. One of the most important CHILDREN’S hospitals not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe. Okhmatdyt has been saving and restoring the health of thousands of children. ” Zelensky said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Number of casualties from the strikes are still unknown, with rescue mission ongoing. Rescue is proving difficult as well. People are taking shelter from bomb attacks across the country.

Russia attack both civilians and often accused of incessant strikes across the country.

“Now that the hospital has been damaged by a Russian strike, there are people under the rubble, and the exact number of casualties is still unknown. Right now, everyone is helping to clear the rubble – doctors and ordinary people.

Putin has given conditions to stop the war, but the conditions were considered non-starter by Ukraine and its allies in the West.

Putin, a dictator, has refused to withdraw from Ukraine, after it ordered what he called “military operation” to denazify Ukraine.

“Russia cannot claim ignorance of where its missiles are flying and must be held fully accountable for all its crimes. Against people, against children, against humanity in general. It is very important that the world does not remain silent about this now, and that everyone sees what Russia is and what it is doing”

Recently, a peace summit was called to bring an end to the war, but Russia didn’t attend, as no invite was extended to it.

China abstained from the peace summit with other countries who declined to signing communique on the ground that peace is impossible without Russia on the table.

The West had upped weapons delivery to Ukraine with aim to push back Russian aggression, but the effort has not entirely cubbed attacks on Ukraine.

Despite US lifting ban on the use of Western military aids given to Ukraine, Russia has not been significantly deterred.

Zelensky continues to call for more military aids to protect Ukrainian skies. While Russia insist on fighting, the West is adamant that Russia cannot win the war.

Conditions given by Russia includes Ukraine relinquishing towns it has seized and those it has not seized.

The conditions have been tagged outrageous by analysts. With Ukraine saying that Cremea has to be surrendered by Russia before anything is considered.

Since Ukrainian counter-offensive failed to give the expected result, Russia has taken over strategic cities and continue to illegally push its murderous war that is today costing lives and properties in Ukraine.
