Mike Tyson’s fans and all boxing fans have to wait further before they could see the veteran boxer back on the ring after a health issue came up.
Jake Paul versus Mike Tyson had been dated and all eyes were on the match, to see the veteran upper cut specialist, but circumstance changed the date.
No date has been put or idea of exact time when the match will be rescheduled. Instead, all focus is on Mike Tyson to rehabilitate himself and pass the medical test needed to fight.
The incident occurred in US after Mike Had ulcer flare-up in a flight. The flare-up caused nauseating and dizziness, leading to a medical emergency.
The mid-flight medical emergency was handled promptly with Mike Tyson saying he had fully recovered from the flare-up. He downplayed the health emergency, but his narrative was debunked by medical professional who insisted a fight in July will be dangerous.
The 57 years old wanted to carry on despite the emergency. He had succeeded in making the fight a professional one, after months of deliberations on rules. There was an attempt to making it exhibition fight, but due test were passed and the 57 years old was successful. The match will be counted as a professional fight.
“During a follow-up consultation on Thursday with medical professionals on his recent ulcer flare-up, the recommendation is for Tyson Fury to do minimal light training over the next few weeks and then return to full training without limitations ” a statement said.
Medical professionals within the boxing federation believe being patient is key to healthy state of the body and mind. They are also not willing to take any risk.
Tyson must start afresh to build his health and regain his mental confidence. With the approach, he doesn’t need to worry about his medical emergency. From minimal training to no holds barred.
Both Jake Paul and Mike Tyso accepted the postponement, with both agreeing that health should be placed above the bout.
The two parties also want to see a fair match, where preparedness is complete and no excuses for defeat.
Reacting to the postponement, Tyson said “I want to thank my fans around the world for their support and understanding during this time. Unfortunately, due to my ulcer flare-up, I have been advised by my doctor to lighten my training for few weeks to rest and recover”
He didn’t fail to take a dig at Jake Paul, whom he said was fortunate with the situation.
He promised that he will still knock Jake Paul out as his ulcer flare-up had only bought time for him, but didn’t stop the inevitable.
Tyson disclosed that the fight will happen this year, and promised to give his fans unforgettable performance that will end Jake Paul’s career.
Paul was quick to retort “I fully support postponing the event so Mike Tyson has no excuses come fight night.
“My fans know I don’t want to face Iron Mike at anything but his best, but let there be no mistake – when he steps into the ring with me, I will be ready to claim my W with a sensational finish. Paul vs Tyson will be one for the ages, and I promise to bring my best for this once-in-a-lifetime matchup.”
The both promised a sensational fight. Boxing fans will definitely see the fight, but have to wait a little more.
