Man Arrested With 19 ATM Cards
Tokunbo Wahab ,Lagos State Commissioner of Ministry of Environment and Water Resources announced the arrest of a miscreant on Monday at Mobolaji Bank Anthony way with 19 ATM cards belonging to different people.
The arrest was carried out by officials of Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps “During an operation carried out by the operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps yesterday, a miscreant was arrested with 19 ATM cards belonging to different people” the announcement read on the commissioner’s social media handle.
Crime has become a darling for most people in the State, with pocket picker topping the chart. The identities of the ATM cards owners have not been declared, but investigation is to go further to determine what the ATM cards are used for.
Mostly women have become the soft target of these miscreants. Stalking and robbing them at a lonely area or way station. In most cases, a notorious ‘one chance bus’ takes innocent passengers to unknown destinations where they are forced to transfer money or surrender everything they have.
Lagos has become a hotbed for criminals, mostly operating in the day despite the patrols by the Nigerian police. The criminals have devised a way to evade the police, but the determination of the Nigerian police in Lagos State continues to pay off.
The criminal will be handed over to the police for proper investigation.
