Africans were taken to Europe in cages – Putin’s strong narrative

History will never forget what Europeans did to Africans, now, one man echoes the deeds stored in the bottom of history. For whatsoever reason Putin made the comments, for political gains or stoking up flames of anger, one thing is certain, Putin said nothing but the truth, and sometimes, it’s good to hold people to account for their deeds. West committed evil against Africans, but they claim innocent, even while continuing the evil in a more deceitful fashion.

We can hate Putin for everything, but love him for his openness when it comes to speaking truth, especially truth that hurts the West. Western influence continues to entangle Africa in a financial slavery, while exploiting the natural resources deposited in Africa without regard to the countries where the natural resources are deposited.

Recently in Niger, Russia stood with the Niger’s junta against the U.S. and France, who desperately wanted a return to constitutional rule because Basoum, the deposed elected President of Niger was pro-West. There have been stand-off between Russia foreign policy and that of their Western counterpart, often regarding former’s support for African juntas.

There seem to be a cold war going on between Russia and West in Africa. The West has history of colonial influence in entire continent of Africa, giving the West right to have influence in African politics and leadership. The astonishing influence the West wields in Africa has made relations with the continent quite hard for Russia who didn’t involve in colonial adventure back in the days.

In Niger, France and U.S. are seriously considering a military operation to restore civilian rule, while Russia has openly sided the Uranium rich African country’s junta, warning that any military intervention directly from U.S or France or by proxies would destabilize the sahel-sahara region of Africa. Russia also indicated that they would not fold their hands and watch military intervention in Niger, taking side with the junta.

Russian warlord, late Prigozhin before his death said he has turned his focus on Africa, indicating that Russia has a mission in Africa. While Russian government has not officially made comment regarding any mission in Africa, Wagner group serves the rogue interest of Russian government. The mission in Africa remains active even after the demise of Prigozhin, but not yet officially spelt.

Speaking in the Eastern Economic Forum in the Far East where the Russian leader is meeting Kim Jong-un, Putin was direct when speaking about the Western influence and the war in Ukraine. Addressing Western foreign policies in Africa, he said.

“African nations will always remember their children being trafficked by the Western colonial powers” he said about the slave trade that saw inhuman treatment of Africans by the West 400 years ago.

“People from Africa were taken to Europe in cages, you can’t watch that without tears. Children sitting in cages, displayed for everyone to see” Putin added, and further said that Europeans so much loved their slave business to the point it continued until 1957.

The Russian leader detailed the West has not abandoned the slaver mentality as they continue to claim ownership of Africa with their policies in the continent.

“Even now, they are trying to boss around and pursue their generally neo-colonial policies” he added while making references to the debts African countries were forced into through loans made impossible to be served or paid back. He defended Russian foreign policies in Africa, saying it is different from what the West do in Africa.

“Our cooperations have always been based on either mutual grounds or the desire to help” he concluded to the delight of his audience.
