The former President of United States of America has been indicted for the second time by a special counsel Jack Smith. The indictment on Tuesday came from the very special counsel that had previously indicted him. The latest indictment is his investigation into the Jan, 6, 2021 capitol riot.

On Jan, 6, 2021, United States experienced for the first time a mass action that threatened her democracy on the account that the election that produced Joe Biden was rigged. The special counsel described the act as attempt to overturn a lawful election, and pointed out that Donald Trump conspired with his “co-conspirators” although failed to list or included the said cohorts in the charges.

The mass action in question turned into a riot that led to complete takeover of the capitol by angry Americans, mostly, pro-Trump supporters. The insurrection led to deaths and wounded many police officers guarding the capitol. Donald Trump denied any wrong doing, and had spoken about his press conference, that addressed the rampaging Americans – urging them to go home.

The federal charges read out by Jack Smith after his extensive probe were, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, conspiracy against rights, conspiracy to defraud the United states and conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding.

Although the said charges did not have any effect on the proceedings – physically or effectively affected the official proceedings that led to the emergence of President Joe Biden, but the Department of Justice insists to probe the former President who is the leading political opponent of the current President.

In the face of the probe; the administration of Joe Biden has been faced with accusations of ‘two tier’ justice system in America – one justice for pro-Biden and another for pro-Trump, an act that has mercilessly divided America and left United States longing for a new path of peace and patriotism.

The feel remains; why are the probes and indictments coming during election period and targeted against a leading candidate – main opposition of the current administration, who has been polled to win the general election – a few points ahead of President Joe Biden.

Trump for the second time on issue bordering on federal charges will appear in federal court in Washington D.C for his arraignment on Thursday, Aug 3, at 4:00 p.m. A place the former President is familiar with – he is expected to be accustomed to.

Former president Trump had previously called out Jack Smith, the special counsel he tagged ‘Political Hit Man’ of President Biden’s administration and argued that had he not declared to be re-elected and being the favorite to win the 2024 general election, he would not be targeted by the ‘deep states’ and Joe Biden’s administration.

The previous 37 counts ‘charges’ out of the probe by the same special counsel was entirely denied by Trump and pleaded not guilty. Trump’s camp further criticized the indictment and called out what they felt was awful charges bordering on espionage instead of Presidential record act, a crime that would put Donald Trump in prison for the rest of his life.

“Political interference” yearned Donald Trump on one of his campaign trails, a sentiment shared by many Americans and GOP members. Americans have heard how Hilary Clinton retained and deleted classified files without any special counsel probing or indicting her. Americans have also heard how Joe Bidden possessed classified documents without charges, and the preferential probe – that targets opposition alone convinced Americans of the two tier justices department in America.

“The Defendant, Donald J. Trump, was the forty-fifth President of the United States and a candidate for re-election in 2020. The Defendants lost the 2020 presidential elections. Despite having lost, the Defendant was determined to remain in power” special counsel, Jack Smiths indictment stated.

Donald Trump was vocal throughout the election build-up and voiced his concerns regarding the election that produced President Joe Biden. He relied on first amendment rights to express his dissatisfaction regarding the election which he tagged rigged election. Jack Smith seemed to have preyed on the concerns of Donald Trump to reel out his charges against him.

“For more than two months following Election Day on November 3, 2020, he (Trump) spread lies that there had been outcome-determinitive fraud in the election and that he had actually won.” Jack Smith seemed to have disagreed with Donald Trump’s claim and the claims of his supporters, thus charging him for his statements he deemed to have effectively warranted indictment.

Timing of the probe and indictment of the forty-fifth President of the United States divides United States further and appears to have no end for healing.
